    Jim represents clients in the areas of:


    A Charleston native, Jim returned to his beloved hometown after practicing at two firms ranked in American Lawyer’s top 50 list: Alston & Bird LLP in Atlanta, Georgia and Hunton & Williams LLP in Richmond, Virginia.

    He works regularly with corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, shareholder buy-outs, and business purchase and sale agreements, including business succession issues.

    Jim lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, Courtney, and their two sons. Jim is an outdoorsman who enjoys birding (his favorite bird is the American Oystercatcher), amateur wine making, college football and, most of all, his family. Outside the office, you’re most likely to see him coaching a son’s  ball game, attending a community event, or spending time at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, where he’s an active member.
